Sportscraft – Product Developer

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Product Development to lead and translate design concepts into ready garments for Sportscraft. This role is instrumental in the product lifecycle from concept to production, while staying aligned with the brand’s creative vision and sustainability goals.As a key member of the brand’s leadership team, you will report directly to the General Manager and work in close partnership with the Design Director, Planning Team, Production Team and Group GM of Supply Chain & Logistics. The Role

Product Development

  • Source/develop fabric/trims and product inspiration in line with the design vision & price targets
  • Work closely with design team on recommendations of qualities and vendors based on the design vision
  • Work closely with the Technical team at development stage to ensure fabric meet our strict testing standards
  • Ensure that the correct suppliers are selected in line with the company global sourcing strategies
  • Responsible for all product costings, finding solutions to ensure all product hits target margins yet remains within the design vision and our high quality standards.
  • Maintain current supplier relationships and identify new suppliers which will help maximize margins and help facilitate growth for the brand, always focusing on win/win relationships for both parties.
  • Daily communication with vendors to ensure all samples are accurate and received on time
  • Attend weekly WIP and update key stakeholders of any potential delays or risk to the product development and production
  • Negotiate costs with vendors to ensure margin requirements are met at style and category level
  • Ensuring all purchase orders are received and raised for factories
  • Fabric management of CMT orders
  • Production management of all FOB & CMT orders; ensuring all orders are delivered on time in full
  • Daily PLM management
